Help centre: common tasks.
This page collects the tasks people ask about most, written as short steps. For quick yes-or-no answers, the questions page is faster. Inside the app, the assistant can also talk you through any of these while you work.
Send your first envelope
Start a new envelope and upload your PDF or Word file. Add more documents if they belong together. Add each person by name and email, then place their fields on the page: signature, initials, date, text, tick box, Yes/No choice or file upload. Choose whether people sign in order or all at once, write a short message, and send.
The how it works page shows the same path with what signers see at each step.
Save and reuse a template
Set up the documents and fields once, but give each signer a role such as Tenant or Client instead of a real name. Save it as a template. Next time, pick the template, fill in the real names and emails against each role, and send. Templates are shared with your workspace unless you mark them private.
Control who goes first
Choose an ordered envelope when one person must finish before the next starts, for example a customer signs and then your director countersigns. Choose all at once when order does not matter, such as three trustees signing the same minute.
To have someone check a document before it reaches signers, add them as an approver at the start. To have them give final approval after signing, put the approver at the end.
Chase a slow signer
Open the envelope to see who has opened it and who has signed. Send a reminder to anyone still outstanding, or set automatic reminders when you send so the follow-up happens without you.
- Opened but not signed: a reminder with a short personal note usually works.
- Not opened: check the email address is right before resending.
- Declined: read their reason, fix the document if needed, and send a new envelope.
Find a finished document
Completed envelopes keep the signed documents, the audit trail and the completion certificate together. Each signed document carries a verification ID that anyone can check online, which helps when a third party asks whether a copy is genuine.
Add your team
An admin invites colleagues to the workspace and gives each person a role. Once they join, they can use shared templates and see envelopes in the workspace. Ask each person to turn on two-step sign-in. When someone leaves, an admin removes them so their access ends.
Common questions
- Can I put two documents in one envelope?
- Yes. Upload as many PDF or Word files as belong together and they travel as one envelope.
- Can I copy someone in who does not need to sign?
- Yes. Add them as a copy recipient and they receive the finished documents without any fields of their own.
- Where is the in-app assistant?
- It is available inside SignAndGo whenever you are working, and answers how-to questions.
