E-signing inside a business suite, or a standalone tool?
Some teams get e-signing as one feature of a larger software bundle. Others pick a dedicated signing tool. Neither is right for everyone. The better choice depends on how much signing you do, who sends it, and what has to happen to a document once it is signed.
How central is signing to your work?
If you send the occasional supplier form, a signing feature tucked inside a tool you already pay attention to may be enough. If signed paperwork is how you onboard every client, tenant or employee, the depth of the signing tool starts to matter: templates with roles, signing order, approvers, reminders and a clear status view across every envelope.
Who sends, and from where?
Count the people who will send documents. A dedicated tool usually lets admins set roles so a junior staff member can send from a template without editing it. Ask whether the people sending are the same people who live in the suite all day. If they are not, a separate, focused tool may be easier to learn.
What happens after signing?
This is where the decision often turns. A suite may keep the signed file next to related records automatically. A standalone tool can do the same if it connects to the systems you use. SignAndGo files completed documents into Xero and adds new signers as Xero contacts, and offers an API and webhooks for anything else.
- Where should the finished document end up?
- Who needs a copy without signing?
- What record will you show if someone queries a signature?
- Does anything need to update when an envelope completes?
One login, without one giant bundle
There is a middle path. SignAndGo is part of MyAndGo, a family of focused apps that share one login: ShareAndGo for secure data rooms and BookAndGo for online booking. You choose the apps you need and move between them without logging in again, rather than adopting a whole suite for one feature.
A simple way to decide
Take one real document your team sends every week and run it end to end in each option you are considering: prepare it, send it to two people in order, chase one with a reminder, and find the finished copy afterwards. Time it, and note anywhere you had to stop and look for help.
Common questions
- Does SignAndGo connect to accounting software?
- Yes, to Xero. Signed documents can be filed there and new signers added as contacts.
- Can I use SignAndGo with other MyAndGo apps?
- Yes. One login works across SignAndGo, ShareAndGo and BookAndGo.
- Can our developers connect it to our own systems?
- Yes, through the API and webhooks.
