E-signing for small businesses.
In a small business the owner is often the salesperson, the HR department and the person chasing paperwork at nine at night. SignAndGo is meant to take the chasing off that list. Set up the documents you send most, send them in a couple of minutes, and let the envelope tell you when they come back.
The documents that pile up
Most small firms send the same handful again and again. A café has supplier agreements and staff paperwork. A plumbing business has quotes, terms of trade and subcontractor forms. A boutique consultancy has engagement letters and confidentiality agreements. Each is a good candidate for a template.
- Quotes and terms of trade, accepted by signature.
- New staff packs with an IR330 and KiwiSaver form.
- Supplier and contractor agreements.
- Policy updates staff confirm they have read.
Set up once, send in minutes
Spend twenty minutes building a template with the fields in the right places and a role for each person. After that, sending is a matter of picking the template and typing a name and email. If you have a part-time office manager, share the template with the workspace so they can send it too.
Fewer phone calls about paperwork
Each envelope shows who has opened it and who has signed. Instead of ringing a customer to ask whether they got the quote, you can see they opened it yesterday. Automatic reminders do the polite follow-up for you, and if a customer declines with a reason, you find out why at once.
Getting the details right the first time
Required fields stop a form coming back with gaps. Text fields collect a bank account or delivery address, tick boxes record a choice, and an upload field lets a contractor attach their certificate as they sign. It saves the second round of emails asking for the bit that was missed.
Fitting in with your books
If you invoice from Xero, connect it and signed documents can be filed there automatically, with new customers added as contacts. The paperwork and the invoice end up in the same place without you moving files around.
When you take on staff
A small business hiring its first or fifth employee sends the same pack each time: the agreement, a tax code declaration and a KiwiSaver form. Put them in one template and the new person completes everything in one sitting, on their phone, before day one. Copy in your bookkeeper so the forms reach payroll without a forwarding step.
Common questions
- Can I see which customers have not signed yet?
- Yes. Each envelope shows who has opened it, who has signed and who still needs to, and you can remind anyone outstanding.
- Is it worth it if I only send a few documents?
- Templates and status tracking help most with the documents you send repeatedly, even a few a week.
- Can my staff send documents too?
- Yes. Invite them to your workspace and share the templates they need.
- Do customers need to install anything?
- No. They open a link in their browser on a phone or computer.
